Before deletion
Export your portable JSON first if you want a copy. Deletion is irreversible. A fixed-duration pass does not need to be cancelled and remaining access is not transferred to a new account.
Fresh authentication
Sign in again immediately before deletion. Compass accepts the request only from a recently created secure session and requires the exact confirmation DELETE.
What is removed
Compass removes the account, identities, sessions, goals, objective answers, diagnostics, mock attempts, saved writing drafts, literal speaking completion markers, mastery, routes, access grants, purchases stored in Compass, and account-linked analytics. Speaking audio does not exist because speaking is not recorded, not uploaded, or transcribed.
What processors may retain
Stripe, Apple, Google Play, banks, and email providers may retain transaction or delivery records under their own legal duties. Compass may retain a non-reversible deletion audit reference and records that law requires, without retaining the deleted learner profile.
Completion
The API returns a machine-readable completed status, clears the Compass session, and attempts to send a completion email. If delivery fails after deletion, the deletion remains complete and the interface reports the notification failure.
Other deletion route
If you cannot access the in-product control, use deletionUrl or contact supportUrl from the account email. Identity verification is required before a manual deletion request is completed.
